Twin Flames & Infinite Chrome Flakes: What's the difference between base and topper shades?Updated a year ago
Similar to everyone in the world, many of our products are unique in colors, textures, or finishes in the DMB universe. Depending on your preference, you might be drawn to certain kinds of shades or products.
Base Shades:
These are deeper shades that tend to be thicker in texture and more intense in appearance. A base shade can be used as eyeliner or eyeshadow for bolder makeup (such as sultry, grunge, moody, vampy, editorial, full glam, or other alternative looks).
Twin Flames (such as Olivine / Serpentine / Adore U / Midnight Pearl / Mystic Fire / Soulmate / True Luv / Forever / Lover / Sweetheart / Obsession / Star Ruby)
Infinite Chrome Flakes (such as Pride / Kiss Me / Laser Beam / Fireball / Hot Lava / Lightning Bolt / Superstar / Moonlight / Bi-Pride)
Topper Shades:
These are lighter shades that tend to be lightweight and pastel or translucent in appearance. A topper shade can be used on top of a base color for that extra sparkle and dimension or used as a standalone twinkle on the eyes. Since they're less opaque than base shades, they make great choices for makeup beginners to incorporate a subtle touch of magic into their looks.
Twin Flames (such as Angel Heart / Everlasting / Amour / Crazy 4 U / Lust / Young Love / Passion)
Infinite Chrome Flakes (such as Firefly / Monarch / Pixie Dust / Cupid / Sweet Tooth / Strobe Light)
Tips & Tricks | How to Apply:
1. Begin by applying a thin and even layer of the product to one eyelid.
2. Allow the product to fully set and dry in less than a few minutes, keeping your eye closed to prevent creasing.
3. Repeat the same application process on the other eyelid.
4. If you wish to intensify the color, you can apply another thin and even coat on top of the already set/dried layer.
5. Wait for each new coat to completely dry and set before applying additional coats, if desired.
