How do I clean my DMB products?Updated 9 months ago

You can depot many of our products into a new container or use a spatula to transfer them onto a mixing palette (such as the Metal Palette, Acrylic Palette, or Single-Use Makeup Palette). There are also tips n' tricks to sterilize any tools and makeup that directly touch skin!

Makeup Palettes (such as Lightwork, Groundwork, Dewy Lip & Cheek, Pride Love is Love, etc.):

Spray the surfaces of our products with a disinfectant solution (70% isopropyl alcohol) and let them fully air dry while open. After a few minutes, pass a clean paper towel over the surfaces to ensure there's no leftover residue or droplets.

Brush Applicators (such as MyKitCo x Danessa Myricks: Yummy Collection):

It's advised not to frequently use harsh chemicals on brush bristles, as this may alter their texture and appearance. 

Instead, you should carefully wash and massage your brush bristles with a gentle (brush-safe) soap or brush cleanser to preserve their condition. After thoroughly rinsing, soak up any remaining water with a clean paper towel and leave your brushes open to fully air dry before using again. 

For waterproof makeup (such as Colorfix or Twin Flames), it's best to immediately spot cleanse the affected areas of your brush bristles with this same method. Leaving waterproof makeup on brush bristles for longer may make it more difficult or stubborn to remove, which requires extra TLC to dissolve.
